PhD in Psychology from Universidade de Lisboa, is the coordinator of the Master’s in Psychology of Wellbeing and Health Promotion, and of the Post-graduation Program on Child Protection System. She was the founding director of the CRC-W (Católica Research Centre for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing), between 2017 and 2023. As researcher at CRC-W, she currently coordinates the project “#EntreViagenseAprendizagens: A school-based intervention to promote well-being and healthy lifestyles among adolescents”, funded by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and the project “Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the well-being of children and adolescents”, among others. In 2010 was a visiting researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, within the scope of the European PhD. She is a member of the editorial board of Eating and Weight Disorders and Revista Portuguesa de Psicologia. Her current research interests are eating disorders, health literacy, wellbeing and (mal)adjustment of adolescents in different social situations. She is a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology by the Portuguese Psychologists Order. She is a consultant for the Directorate-General for Health in health literacy and well-being.
