Health and Wellbeing Promotion

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese

The main goals for this course are:

  • To know and understand the theoretical models of well-being and their relationship with Positive Psychology;
  • To know and understand the evolution of the concepts of health, positive health and global health;
  • To understand and critically reflect on the relationship between physical health, mental health, well-being and well-being of communities;
  • To know and apply strategies to promote health literacy and healthy lifestyles throughout the life cycle;
  • To know and apply strategies to promote the individual's well-being, social and emotional skills, and healthy relationships throughout the life cycle;
  • To develop intervention skills in promoting health and well-being;
  • To critically reflect on the contribution of technological innovation in promoting health and well-being.
