The Scientific Field of the Social Sciences provides training in the Social Work across the three cycles of studies:

• Undergraduate Degree in Social Work;
• Master’s Degree in Social Work;
• Doctoral Degree Program in Social Work through the FCH/UCP — FPCE-UC Inter-university Doctoral Degree Program in Social Work. 

This field also runs post-graduate and advanced training programs that do not result in any academic qualification.

The Scientific Field of the Social Sciences also extends its activities to research and development, specifically within the framework of the CRC-W — Catolica Research  Centre for Individual, Family and Social Wellbeing – having also published the digital open source journal Locus Soci@l).
