She has a post-doctorate in Communication Studies from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo and a PhD in the same area from the Portuguese Catholic University. Since 2016 she has been the coordinator of the MA in Communication Studies. Between 2010 and 2020 she taught at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), University of São Paulo (Brazil), New York University (USA) and Catholic University of Mozambique (Mozambique). She is a researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture and currently integrates the project COMPACT: social media and convergence, and is a member of the Board and researcher at the Centre for Portuguese Speaking Peoples and Cultures. She is a member of the scientific board of MatriZes journal (University of São Paulo) and is the coordinator of the Portuguese team of the Iberoamerican Observatory of Television Fiction (OBITEL). Her main research area is Media Studies (audiovisual, fictional content, production, reception, programming strategies), with several publications on these themes.
