Clinical psychologist, with the title of specialist in Neuropsychology (OPP), holds a Honours/Master Degree in Psychology from Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada and a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, Univeristy of Lisbon, under which she conducted research on the filed of language impairments of neurodegenerativa cause (Primary Progressive Aphasia). Maintains clinical and resaerch activities in the Laboratory of Language Research of FMUL and in CENC – Sleep Medicine Centre. She´s an invited assistant professor in the Faculty of Human Sciences of UCP and an invited coordinator professor of Neuropsychology in Escola Superior de Saúde de Alcoitão and regulary colaborates with the Master/PhD Programme in Neurosciences of the FMUL. Her current research interests focus on normal and pathological aging (dementia) as well as in the relationship between sleep and cognition. She participates in several national and international research projects in collaboration with several foreign institutions (UCL, Universidad de las Americas – Ecuador) and is a research in clinical trials. Authors and co-authors several papers and also peer-reviews scientific publications. She´s member of the executive committee of the Behavioural Neurology Section of the Portuguese Neurology Society and member of the Brain Aging and Dementia Study Group.
