PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Lisbon and the University of Coimbra, she has been a Guest Assistant Professor at the FCH-UCP since 2017 and Coordinator of the Institute of Family Sciences since 2020. As a researcher at the Catolica Research Centre for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing, she currently coordinates the project "Invisible Pillars of the Family" and integrates CUIDAR - university research and extension project. In 2013 she was a visiting researcher at the NLA University College Bergen (Norway). Her main areas of research are human relationships (namely couple and family relationships) and factors promoting well-being, having published in these areas in international journals.
She is a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology and in Community Psychology by the Portuguese Psychologists Order. She has a post-graduate degree in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy, with subsequent training in Emotions Focused Psychotherapy, working as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in private context.
