She holds a PhD and a postdoctoral degree in Education Sciences from the University of Lisbon, and since 2023, she has been an invited Assistant Professor at FCH-UCP. Integrated researcher at the Católica Research Center for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing (CRC-W) and researcher in the Aventura Social team, she is the executive coordinator of the Observatory of Psychological Health and Wellbeing in Schools/Directorate-General for Education and Science Statistics. She was also the executive coordinator of projects funded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Dream Teens, #GeraçõesComVoz, Learn to Fly).

Member of the international network Health Behaviour in School-aged Children/World Health Organization (HBSC/WHO), she has been co-chair of the Youth Engagement group since 2017. Her main areas of research focus on social participation, positive development, and the psychological health and well-being of children and adolescents, and she is the author of several publications related to these topics.

Specialist in Clinical Psychology by the Order of Portuguese Psychologists', has received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)/3rd Generation Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies, and maintains a private therapeutic practice.
