On March 19, the Faculty of Human Sciences will host the new edition of MyCareer, an initiative organised by the Careers Office that invites students to reflect on their future professions and turn talent into action under this year’s theme, “Values and the Future: From Talent to Action.”

The event begins at 10:00 am at the Cardeal Medeiros Auditorium with an Opening Session featuring Vice-Rector Prof. Nelson Ribeiro, FCH Dean Prof. Catarina Duff Burnay, and Careers Office Co-Coordinator Prof. Naíde Müller.

This will be followed by the keynote talk “Values, Leadership and Purpose: Life and Career with Impact”, delivered by Conceição Zagalo, focusing on the role of values and leadership in shaping meaningful professional paths.

In the afternoon, the program includes flash talks with companies and professionals, addressing topics such as the soft skills most valued by employers, authentic influence in communication, and career paths in public and international institutions.

The day concludes with roundtable discussions on academic and professional pathways and contemporary challenges, including sustainability, international careers, and the relationship between academia and industry in the field of communication.

Throughout the day, students will also have the opportunity to take part in the Employment & Talent Fair, bringing together several organizations in the Hall of the Cardeal Medeiros Auditorium, and in the Career Lab: CV Feedback, where participants can receive personalised feedback on their CVs.

This edition is supported by the Perfumes & Companhia, Grupo Renascença Multimédia, Quidgest, Prosapient and TimweTech.
