Applied Research Methods in Psychology

6 ECTS / Semester / English

The main goals of this course are to:

  • Understand the why and how of research in Psychology;
  • Understand and reflect on the ethical issues in research;
  • Understand the research techniques of measurement and sampling;
  • Learn about different experimental, quasi-experimental and non-experimental approaches;
  • Learn about data collection platforms and online public data bases;
  • Learn about statistical and data analytic issues as well as qualitative methods that go beyond numbers;
  • Prepare reports from the data analysis and writing scientific articles according to APA.
