The scientific area of Psychology at FCH has a strong focus on addressing current and emerging issues in areas such as health and well-being, environmental sustainability, work, education, society, and the economy. It currently focuses research on three main areas: (1) Emotions and other basic mental processes; human interactions, human-animal interactions, and human-technology interactions; (2) Health, development, and well-being; and (3) Work and career, entrepreneurship, and economic decisions. It offers a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as training at the 2nd cycle level of studies (MSc. in Psychology in Business and Economics, MSc. in Psychology and Environmental Sustainability, and MSc in Psychology of Well-being and Health Promotion), along with a wide range of postgraduate programs.
In the third cycle, it offers a Doctoral Program in Psychology, unique in Europe, in the domain of Emotion Psychology – PhD Psychology: Emotions & Wellbeing. Furthermore, it promotes various academic outreach and training activities, as well as offering a range of services to the community.
