A PhD candidate in Communication Studies at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, she has been a Teaching Assistant at the same university since 2026. She is a researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC), where she is developing her doctoral dissertation, “Neither Country nor Graveyard”: The Renegotiation of Professional Identity of Russian Independent Journalists in Exile and Their Commitment to the Field. Her main research areas are journalism, journalism-in-exile, independent media, migration, and human rights.
