Last January, from the 21st to the 23rd, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon hosted a meeting as part of the ENGAGED Project (CRC-W). The meeting brought together members of the national and international teams from the partner countries—Portugal, England, Romania, Norway, and Spain—and aimed to promote joint reflection on the project's forms of intervention, analyze the work already carried out, and define guidelines for its future implementation.

In Portugal, the project is represented by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and the NGO Aventura Social, which are responsible for implementing the Living Labs. At UCP, the project is coordinated by Professors Margarida Gaspar de Matos, Cátia Branquinho, and Inês Camacho.

The main objective of the ENGAGED Project is to deepen knowledge about the processes of political and community involvement of adolescents and young adults in Europe, analyzing the role of social, cultural, and political identity, sense of belonging, and trust in democratic institutions. At the same time, the project seeks to develop and test innovative research tools and intervention models, such as Living Labs, promoting youth empowerment and the development of public policy recommendations in dialogue with policy makers.
