This year, the Faculty of Human Sciences is part of the NHNAI project - ‘A new humanism in the age of neuroscience and artificial intelligence’, an initiative developed by the Catholic University of Lyon in France since 2022.
In recent years, technological and scientific developments have brought many changes to our daily lives. The use of some more advanced tools (e.g. autonomous cars) can have both advantageous and disadvantageous consequences for collective life and our human identity. The main aim of the project is therefore to promote discussion on these issues within civil society.
After several debates with multiple elements of civil society, held in 2023 and 2024, this stage of the project ends with a final conference, which includes some pre-conference events, to be held on 8 March at the NH Campo Grande Hotel:
- 9:30am to 10:30am – Workshop ‘What makes a human being a human being?’
- 11:00am to 12:30pm – Debate ‘In the age of artificial intelligence, which school, which teachers, which parents, which students?’
- 2:00pm to 3:30pm – Workshop ‘Building the Human Characteristics Chart’
- 4:00pm to 5:30pm – Workshop ‘Artificial intelligence at the service of vulnerable groups’
