Statistical literacy and analytical skills are crucial to comprehend complex social systems. Therefore, the main goal of this course is to provide students with statistical and design knowledge, helping them to decide on the veracity of their own (and others) research findings, with specific emphasis on Psychology. At the end of this course, students should be able to a) understand the different statistical tests that are commonly used in social sciences; b) make their own decision on what statistics should be used in a certain situation; and c) judge conclusions based on data analyses.
