With a PhD in American Literature, from the University of Sussex, he teaches in the field of script writing and adaption, Science Fiction, literature and cinema. He is editor of the “Messengers From the Stars: On Science-Fiction and Fantasy” academic magazine and collaborates as a researcher at the University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies (CEAUL). He is also part of the Ibero-American Observatory or Television Fiction (OBITEL - Observatório Iberoamericano da Ficção Televisiva) Portuguese team. He is a screenwriter, having participated in several projects for SIC and RTP, such as “Bem-Vindos a Beirais” and “Conta-me Como Foi”.
