PhD in Culture Studies from the Catholic University of Portugal and is a researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC) in the research cluster Critique, Conflict and Culture. She is the Executive Coordinator of the Lisbon Consortium and Co-Coordinator of the MA program in Culture Studies. Her main research areas are cultural studies, visual culture, and the politics of visibility, particularly in the context of poverty, precarity, and migration. She is the author of publications on visual representation and social imagination as well as the co-editor of Negotiations of Migration: Reexamining the Past and Present in Contemporary Europe (2021) and Arts and Poetics of the (In)Hospitable: Relationality in the Global Contemporary (to be published in 2026).
