Organized by the PhD Program in Communication Studies at the Faculty of Human Sciences and the Center for Media@Risk at the Annenberg School for Communication (University of Pennsylvania), in partnership with the Center for Media@Risk at the Annenberg School for Communication and in collaboration with the Annenberg Schools of the University of Southern California and the University of Pennsylvania, the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Helsinki, and the Europaeum network, the Lisbon Winter School for the Study of Communication provides students with the opportunity to discuss key issues in communication within a truly international environment.

The 6th edition of the Lisbon Winter School, in 2025/2026, was dedicated to the theme “Media and Courage” and featured the following speakers:
