PhD students in Communication Studies may apply for scholarships funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and partner institutions of the Doctoral Program.

FCT annually finances up to 3 scholarships for PhD students of the Doctoral Program in Communication Studies. All candidates to the Doctoral Program are eligible to apply to these scholarships. The announcement of the results is made before the start of the first semester. To know more about FCT’s scholarships visit the website.

The FCH / Rádio Renascença Doctoral Scholarship consists of a funding of € 5,000 awarded annually to subsidise the fees of a PhD student in Communication Studies who aims to develop research in the field of media studies.

Doctoral students may also apply for PhD scholarships funded by the Fundação Amélia de Mello.
