English II

3.5 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese
English II level students should be independent speakers of English at Level B2.2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Objectives: To build on students' existing knowledge of English, vocabulary, reading and writing skills. To develop students' presentation skills in English on a wide range of current affairs themes. To further develop students' ability to express opinions on a range of topics, including specific training in the art of producing argumentative texts and to read articles concerned with contemporary problems. To encourage students to use English both receptively and productively and to further extend their command of relevant vocabulary.
