João Graça has a PhD in Psychology (ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, 2016), and is currently Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa), and Invited Assistant Professor at Faculdade de Ciências Humanas, Catholic University of Portugal (FCH-UCP). His main interest is researching practice and behavioural changes towards healthy, sustainable and ethical consumption, with a focus on plant-based diets. His research interests also cover the design and evaluation of intervention programs with children and youth, and improving the social environment in developmental contexts such as schools and residential care settings. He has participated in several national and international research projects addressing societal challenges funded by key partners and agencies (e.g., European Commission; Portuguese Ministry of Education; Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology). He is familiar with a range of methods which include quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, framed under a strong personal and academic orientation towards connecting science and society.
