Born in Porto, he graduated in Economics at the University of Porto and in Law at the Catholic University. He graduated in Tax Law at IDEFF - University of Lisbon and completed a specialization in Local Government Law at the University of Minho.
Currently, he holds the mandate of Member of Parliament and the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the Social Democratic Party.
In Parliament he performs his duties as a Deputy in the Budget and Finance Committee, in the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees and in the Committee on Labor and Social Security.
He worked for several years in commercial banking and at the Portuguese Central Bank. He passed by the Porto City Council as Assistant to the President, where, among other initiatives, he coordinated the Municipal Finance Council.
Since 2016, at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Catholic University of Lisbon, he has been teaching the theoretical and practical classes of Law and Company courses. In the academic year of 2015/2016, at the Faculty of Law, he taught practical classes in the subject of Fundamentals of Civil Law and People's Rights.
