During May, June and July, the Faculty of Human Sciences, with the support of the Global Education Office (GEO), welcomed groups of American students who came to Portugal to learn the Portuguese language, history and culture.

In May, students from the University of Maine, in addition to attending lectures with guests and experts, visited the Aljube Museum, the Pharmacy Museum and took a cruise on the Tagus River, among other activities.

In June, in collaboration with USAC and SiPN, groups of students from various American universities had three weeks of classes and activities at FCH, including Travel Photography and Portuguese Language courses, as well as a weekend visit to Peniche, with surfing lessons (students under USAC).

In partnership with the Faculty of Law, law students from the University of Massachusetts Amherst had the opportunity to attend lectures on the subject and also visited the Assembly of the Republic, Arrábida, among other places.

These classes and activities enriched these students' knowledge of a country as rich as Portugal.
