The course aims at providing students with the technical and theoretical knowledge that allow them to understand photography as a means of communication. The syllabus takes as its starting point the history of photography, and its development is mapped from the 19th century through to contemporaneity.
However, the focus is in photography at the 21st century, the introduction of digital and its relevance as a media form.
Students are expected to acquire the skills enabling them to capture, edit, share, store and publish photographs prepared for distribution through different media.
At the end, students are to have mastered the different technologies applied to digital photography.
