The President of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Full Professor of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Isabel Capeloa Gil, is among the figures nominated by the President of the Republic for the Council of State, as announced by the Belém Palace.
The appointment of Professor Isabel Capeloa Gil represents recognition of her contribution to higher education and strategic thinking in Portugal, strengthening the presence of the academic community in one of the President of the Republic’s most important advisory bodies.
The swearing-in of the new members of the Council of State took place on April 17, during a ceremony at the Belém Palace.
The Council of State is the President of the Republic’s political advisory body, bringing together leading figures from various sectors of Portuguese society, with the mission of advising the Head of State on matters of particular relevance to the country.
