As part of the celebrations for Social Work Day, today, March 17, at 6:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Santa Maria da Sabedoria, at the Lisbon campus, the Blessing of the Hands ceremony will be held for the graduating students of the Undergraduate Degree in Social Work. This symbolic gesture marks the ethical and human commitment that each future professional undertakes as they enter the practice of social work.
The ceremony celebrates these students’ academic journey and reinforces the mission that will guide them: to use their hands to care for others, offer support, defend rights, and promote dignity.
To all graduating students, we hope this moment marks the beginning of a career guided by social justice, empathy, and hope.
