The third masterclass with the Alumni Hub FCH label will take place on Wednesday, November 26, at 6:30 p.m., in room 121.
The Dynamic Brain: The Science of Neuroplasticity
This masterclass explores the extraordinary ability of the human brain to adapt and change throughout life. Using scientific evidence, the participants take a trip from childhood to adulthood, understanding how experiences, learning and contexts continuously shape the brain. Ways to enhance this plasticity will be discussed, as well as the biological mechanisms that underpin it. The message is clear: the brain maintains the power to adapt and learn.
It will be led by Beatriz Villas Bôas ('22), who holds an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Human Sciences and a Master's Degree in Neuropsychology from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing, both from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is currently part of the UCP4SUCCESS project team at FCH-Católica as a Junior Psychologist, having previously interned at the Alcoitão Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre in the context of neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation.
All current and former Psychology students are invited to participate.
Register by 12 pm on November 25th.
