Promoting the in-depth study of the relations between the nervous system and behaviour; Initiating students in the study of the main cognitive functions and their neural underpinnings; Leading students to link the nervous system with behaviour within a functional perspective, and encouraging them to initiate studies of receptor functions (e.g. sensors and attention), integration (e.g. memory) and motor functions (e.g. motor acts).
