Learning objectives:
1. To study Henry’s thoughts about fascism deeply, as it is presented in his work Du Communisme au Capitalisme. Théorie d’une catastrophe. The essence and surging of fascism as an ontological category. Search for a deep relation to the sense of «barbarism» as portrayed in La Barbarie. The perspective of the study is an ontological one, for the definition of fascism points to this fundamental dimension.
2. To allow the Students the possibility of practising critical philosophical thinking in order to be applied to the making of essays, leading to the production of a final paper that constitutes a personal synthesis on the question of fascism as viewed by Michel Henry.
