Associate Professor.
With a Doctoral degree in Pastoral Theology awarded by the Pontifical University of Salamanca, he holds a canonical degree in Pastoral Theology from the Higher Pastoral Institute of Madrid and an undergraduate degree in Theology from the Faculty of Theology, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
He lectures in the fields of Practical Theology and Pastoral Theology. His priority research fields span Practical Theology and Mission Theology.
He collaborates on the lecturing of Christianism and Culture in the Faculty of Law, at the Faculty of Human Sciences and in the Institute of Healthcare Sciences, UCP.
He also sits on the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Theology and coordinates the Department of Christianism and Culture at the same faculty.
He was Director of the University Institute of Religious Sciences (2002-2005).
He served as President of the São Tomás de Aquino Institute (1995 to 1997 and 2013 to 2017).
He was the first editor of the Cadernos ISTA Journal, a position he held between 1995-1997 and 2013-2017.
He was Moderator of the Provincial Study Centre Sedes Sapientiae (Dominican Friars, 2013 to 2017).
He is a Dominican priest.
