China Relations with Asia, the EU and USA

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese
Through the revision in the course of the relationships among China and Europe and United States, this seminar explores the main factors that lead the Popular Republic of China to develop and establish as a global potency, with capacity not just to influence commercial or political strategies, but also to be a main actor in environmental issues, innovation or global development.
The students will be encouraged to critically participate in the debate of current topics, while seeking in the past speeches that sustain the geopolitics of China in the actual context. In parallel relevant subjects are analyzed regarding the relationships between the individual and the society, as well as manifestations in the popular culture.
