This curricular unit aims to promote the knowledge and problematization of issues associated with the construction, development, administration, quotation, and interpretation of psychological assessment instruments, as well as the dissemination of research in this field.
It is intended to support the students to:
1. Understand the importance of psychometrics as a basic discipline that cuts across all areas of psychology;
2. Know and transpose into practice the main procedures necessary for the construction and psychometric study of a psychological assessment instrument;
3. Master the main procedures associated with the application of psychological assessment instruments, quotation and interpretation of normative data and results.
