Internal Communication: Essential and Strategic
Internal communication is no longer a cost, but rather an essential competitive advantage that is increasingly strategic for the growth of organisations. In this masterclass, we will analyse how effective internal communication is not limited to informing: it engages, motivates and has a direct impact on the culture and productivity of organisations. And when it promotes listening and flows authentically, strategic alignment ceases to be a “PowerPoint” for leaders and becomes a common compass experienced by the entire organisation.
The session will be led by Carmo Só ('02), a former student of Communication and Cultural Sciences. She began her career as a journalist at Agência Lusa, moved on to Media Capital, and later worked at communication agencies such as Lift Consulting. She is enthusiastic about communication and the media world and loves telling stories with purpose. She is currently Head of Communication & Institutional Affairs at GIMM - Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine. Previously, she was Head of Corporate Communication at Lidl and Head of Internal Communication at Leroy Merlin in Portugal.
All current and former students in the field of Communication are invited to participate.
With this initiative, we want our alumni to stay connected with FCH and give them a space to showcase the knowledge they have acquired throughout their academic and professional careers, this time in the field of Communication.
This masterclass will be held in Portuguese.
