As part of the 1st edition of Sustainability Week, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is promoting, between November 24th and 28th, the daily sharing of messages linking sustainability to everyday academic life.
Every day, a phrase, idea or suggestion for responsible behaviour will be shared, using puns and references familiar to the university world, such as ‘Lights don't need a degree to know when to turn off. Be smarter’ or ‘Your coffee cup won't write your thesis. Reuse it.’
These messages address small actions that can be easily integrated into campus routine — turning off the tap, using the rubbish bin, taking the stairs or using the ashtray. The goal is to make sustainability tangible, immediate and close to the academic community.
At the same time, all students are invited to leave a personal message about “what they have been doing for the world around us, for the environment and for the people around us”.
The initiative takes place daily at the entrance to Building 2. Everyone is welcome to participate.
