Objectives:
The Theories of Culture course aims at analyzing and reflecting on the main topics of contemporary cultural theory. It, thus, intends to understand the changing relationships between culture, society, history, politics, and technology in the present world.

Competences:
This course aims at fostering a critical spirit about the idea of culture through the study of texts from different currents of thought and the discussion of relevant topics to understand today’s society. It intends to develop competences in critical textual analysis and in producing a structured and well-supported discourse about the contemporary world.
