Philosophical Theology

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese
This course aims to lead the student to understand:
1. the specificity of Philosophical Theology among the various philosophical disciplines;
2. the question of God, in an historical-philosophical perspective;
3. the scope of a rational discourse about God (proofs of the existence, attributes, God’s relation with the world).

At the end of the semester, the student should be able to:
1. highlight the specificity of Philosophical Theology among the various philosophical disciplines;
2. interpret the most remarkable texts of Philosophical Theology in the History of Philosophy;
3. make critical statements about the possibility of a rational discourse about God;
4. prepare and perform an oral presentation.
