- Distinguish diverse types of heritage;
- Know and understand the terminology related to museum studies;
- Understand the history of museology in the occidental world according to the cultural, social, economic and political contexts throughout history;
- Identify the diverse types of museums according to their governance, collections and policies;
- Recognize the role of the curator in the contemporary museum field: collections management, interpretation, exhibition and communication;
- Understand the features of a museum discourse;
- Understand the social and cultural functions of the museum and relate them to the systems of communication and digital technologies;
- Develop research skills and critical thinking to update knowledge.
