Migrations, Diversity and Social Inclusion

2 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese
This curricular unit aims to foster critical understanding of migration, cultural diversity, and social inclusion, in line with the concept of Integral Human Development and other development perspectives grounded in human rights and social justice. Students will analyze contemporary migration dynamics, identify inequalities and opportunities arising from diversity, and examine public policies and inclusion practices. Teaching methods combine lectures, debates, and case studies, encouraging reflection on the role of Social Work in promoting social cohesion, global citizenship, and human dignity.
