Innovation and Social Work Practices Lab II: Identity

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese
The SW Laboratory aims to constitute itself as a unit for the construction of professional identity and the deepening of knowledge of the practices and contexts of intervention of social workers. This programme aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Identify and situate principles, values, attitudes and specific competencies of Social Workers;
- Construct a heuristic reference of observation with people and their interactions and the relationship with the surrounding environments;
- Provide conceptual and operational references for the knowledge of professional practice of social workers;
- To know the professional practices through contact with the experiences of Social Workers in different areas of intervention;
- Acquire references and skills for the characterization of professional practices and their contexts of intervention;
- To know methodological approaches for the study of organizational work contexts of SW;
- Develop descriptive, critical and reflective skills.
