Students of French IV should be independent users of French at level B1.1. Therefore, according to the Common European Framework of References for Languages, they must be able to:
- Develop students’ communication skills - both oral and written - using a variety of texts and videos and activities like simulations and role plays in order to reach CEFR level B1.1 in French;
- Raise students' awareness regarding cultural and social realities and observing intercultural differences or similarities;
- Prepare students for work: job interviews, meetings, correspondence, telephone;
- Familiarize students with French daily press: review and critique articles, compare French and Portuguese press.
