- Understand the principles and the dimensions of deontology. Reflect on the importance of the deontology for organizations working in the area of communication.

- The person as basic value of Ethics and Deontology in Communication in order to be able to: analyse different philosophical perspectives on the fundaments of ethics; interrelate those perspectives in their common elements and differences; apply, in a critical way, his/her own knowledge in professional and personal contexts.
- Know how to respond to the Deontological challenges that professionals face in everyday communication practice, particularly in journalism, advertising, public relations and new media.
