At the end of this unit, the students should know: how to develop a research project in the area of Educational Sciences with emphasis on its integration within the broader field of the social sciences, how to define and use specific criteria for decision making in each step of the scientific procedure, revealing autonomy in conducting Education research, how to identify, analyse and incorporate into their own work the knowledge produced by the social sciences (theories, concepts) in relation to education, in Portuguese society, how to implement operational methods and techniques for conducting future research in the Educational Sciences.
