Destination Marketing

  1. To understand tourism as a phenomenon that includes products and services that need to be marketed and that depend heavily on marketing to achieve this purpose. The subject provide knowledge and contact with the development of strategies, knowledge and skills to promote tourist products or destinations at different scales.
  2. The subject aims to prepare students to understand consumer behaviour in the tourism sector and apply marketing concepts to attract, satisfy and retain tourists, contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism and hospitality sector, promoting the understanding of tourists as consumers and the understanding of niche tourism markets.
  3. This subject also prepares professionals to plan and implement effective marketing strategies that promote tourist destinations, services and experiences, aligning innovation, sustainability and value generation for tourists and local communities.
