Comparative Cultures in Asia

The Seminar Comparative Cultures in Asia aims to provide theoretical tools for the study and critical analysis of the cultural responses to the challenges of the global world that affect contemporary Asian societies, such as migration and displacement, shifting configurations of space and of urban landscape, ethnic conflicts, natural disasters, climate change, environmental destruction and strategies of sustainable development, humanitarian crises, trauma and mechanisms of reconciliation, among others. In order to achieve the learning outcomes the topics of the syllabus we will presented and discussed through the lens of arts, literature, architecture, cinema and documentary.
