Classroom Observation

Students are prepared in competent and critical interventions in the supervision and usage of classroom observation contexts by attending this course. Hence, at the end of this unit, students are able to: know the different dimensions to supervision and evaluation activities and recognize the importance of classroom observation in supervisory practices, analyse educational practices according to different objectives and different theoretical frameworks, critically analyse various records and observation instruments, design, support and develop observation strategies with a view to analysing and characterizing educational practices, plan the different activities for pedagogical supervision, discuss the place of observation in teacher performance assessments and research.
