Professor José Miguel Sardica, a professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences and a researcher at the CECC, was awarded an Honourable Mention in the Grémio Literário 2024 Prize for his book Portugal e Inglaterra, o Liberalismo e o Império. Estudos sobre a Aliança Luso-Britânica no Século XIX, published by Tribuna da História in December 2024.

The Prize, awarded by the Literary Council of the Grémio Literário, annually honours original cultural works by Portuguese authors in the fields of literature, arts and sciences.

The award ceremony took place on April 22, on the occasion of the Grémio Literário's 179th anniversary, and was attended by the Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro.
