Over the course of this Curricular Unit, students learn: how to develop research projects in the Educational Sciences, with the emphasis on their integration into the broader field of the social sciences; how to define and use specific criteria for decision making in each step of the scientific procedure, revealing autonomy in conducting research in Education; how to identify, analyse and incorporate into their own work the knowledge produced by the social sciences (theories, concepts) in relation to education, in Portuguese society; how to implement operational methods and techniques for conducting future research in the area of Educational Sciences.
