On July 8, UCP and the Education and Youth Bureau of the Government of the Macau Special Administrative Region signed an agreement aimed at promoting cooperation between Macau and Portugal in the field of education and fostering bilingual talent.
The agreement, signed by the President of UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Nelson Ribeiro, will allow students from Macau to take Portuguese language exams. The aim is for these students, with a certain command of the Portuguese language, to be able to study in Portugal and broaden their degree options in scientific programs. Under this agreement, UCP will organize a language proficiency exam in Portuguese for students from the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR). After passing the official selection process, students will have the opportunity to enroll in Undergraduate's or Master's degree courses at FCH-Católica.
The Macau authorities, quoted by the local news agency, stress that this collaboration aims to strengthen educational ties between Macau and Portugal and provide Macau students with more opportunities to access higher education.
