The induction of the new Board of Directors of the Faculty of Human Sciences took place on May 5th. Professor Nelson Ribeiro was reappointed as Dean for the 2023-2026 triennium.

In his induction speech, the Dean highlighted how privileged he felt to continue in this role, not only because it enables him to contribute to the launch and restructuring of degree programs, research projects, and knowledge transfer initiatives that allow FCH to remain a faculty of reference in the Humanities and Social Sciences, but also because of the shared vision of "a vibrant and dynamic Faculty, capable of innovating while remaining true to its values and to its mission to contribute towards the comprehensive training of its students".

The Rector of UCP, Professor Isabel Capeloa Gil, highlighted in her speech that FCH was one of the largest faculties at UCP, and emphasized the importance of Professor Nelson Ribeiro's mandates to the "recognizable scientific growth of UCP, both nationally and internationally."
