The "Late Afternoon with French Tapes" cycle will have a new screening on October 25, with the drama "Au revoir là-haut", starting at 5:00 pm in room 141.
The drama by Albert Dupontel was the winner of the César award for Best Costume Design, Best Cinematography, Best Adaptation, Best Scenery, Best Direction.
Synopsis:
In November 1918, a few days before the Armistice, Édouard Péricourt saves Albert Maillard's life. The two have nothing in common except the war and are forced to team up in order to survive. Years later, Albert and Édouard decide to stage a fraud on the monuments to the dead. They also plan a hoax to unmask Lieutenant Pradelle, who is trying to make a fortune from the bodies of war victims.
