This curricular unit has two central objectives. A first objective is to deepen the knowledge and reflection around the transformations that, in the context of the crisis of the Social State and its difficulties that it has been experiencing in a society of risk and reflective modernity, have been operating in the social monitoring devices of publicin vulnerable situations and translate into the establishment of "a new contract for social assistance". A second objective is to reflect and appropriate the principles and "modus operandi" required in the intervention of the professions of the social field in the new devices of social monitoring and social insertion processes.
